Pooches at Play Series 6 Starts June 26!

I’m so excited to announce that Pooches at Play Series 6 starts on Saturday June 26 at 2pm on Channel 10 and 10Play On Demand.

Tune in for more fun-filled episodes and expert tips and tricks on how to be the best carer and friend to your favourite furry pal.

Hosted by me, Lara Shannon, with presenters Dr Melissa Meehan and Morgan Burrett, Pooches at Play Series 6 will see me share my expert puppy and dog training and behaviour techniques to help address the many common problems many owners struggle with.

Plus, you’ll meet Vindi, my new rescue pup, who joins his cheeky side-kick Darcy as canine co-hosts of the show, as well as some of the amazing dogs working hard in the community to assist and bring joy to the lives of people in need.

Pooches at Play Resident Vet, Dr Melissa Meehan, discusses the latest in pet health and wellbeing, while Morgan catches up with a range of experts to gets some tips and tricks for cultivating a happy, healthy pooch.

From breed profiles and grooming tips, to health, diet and training advice, Pooches at Play Series 6 is for anyone that wants the best life possible with, and for, their dog – and who doesn’t want that?  You’d be barking mad to miss it.

Episode 1

Ever considered fostering a greyhound, owning an Aussie Shepherd or raising a Guide Dog puppy? What about treating dogs with itchy skin, or knowing if you’re feeding your dog the right diet? It’s all in this episode, plus plenty more dog training tips and health advice.

Episode 2

In this puppy packed episode learn about puppy proofing your home, multiple pet households and how to get your to return ‘stolen’ items. Plus, caring for ageing dogs, owning a Great Dane and how the Safe House for Pets program saves lives, and much more!

Episode 3

Learn about taking puppies or nervous dogs to dog parks, clicker training, choosing the right coat for your dog, kidney disease and the pros and cons of sleeping with pets on the bed. This week’s breed profile is the Shih Tzu, and we meet rescue dogs bringing joy to aged care.
