With National Dog Day on 26th August, Lara joins the team on Studio to talk about what to consider before owning a pet.

People should consider daily exercise needs, health and nutrition, life span and other lifestyle factors that people should consider before bringing a dog or other pet into the family. She is joined by some adorable rescue dogs Chubbs & Angel as well as their rabbit sisters, Popcorn and Xena and Harley the Eclectus Parrot.

With dogs living on average 10 years, rabbits needing daily exercise and some Parrot species living up to 100 years of age, Lara talks through some of the things people need to consider when contemplating a pet for their family including the emotional, financial and lifestyle needs of different species.
