Visiting Bendigo in Victoria with your dog

Bendigo

Like Wodonga, Bendigo is well known to any caravanning enthusiast.  In fact, Bendigo is so good for caravanners that the Caravan Industry Victoria host an annual expo here.

It’s pretty much in the middle of Victoria, surrounded by rich agricultural land, and apart from its appeal to those interested in the gold rush period, it’s also a place for the architecture enthusiasts and anyone that has a passion for Australian history.

Rain, hail or shine, Bendigo is a beautiful town. In poor weather, you can spend your time in the shops and galleries. But when the sun’s out, there’s no better way to enjoy your days then exploring the parks and gardens the place is known for.

There’s plenty of spots to take your dog including Rosalind Park, and the stunning Lake Weroona, where you’ll also find the pet friendly Boardwalk Café.

Where to stay when caravanning in Bendigo

There are a number of pet-friendly caravan parks in Bendigo including the Big4 Park Lane Caravan Park and the Gold Nugget Tourist Park.

The Avondel Caravan Park allows pets, but only in their cabins.
